On the eve of the 2025/26 season, I'd like to take a moment to thank every Imps fan for your backing as we look forward to the new campaign with optimism.
Off the pitch the team at the LNER Stadium and Elite Performance Centre have been working hard on a number of improvements.
The facilities at the EPC have been improved with a new meeting and analysis room as well as extra office space. This allows our talented coaching and support team to perform to the best of their abilities.
At the LNER Stadium, the most obvious change fans will see is the revamp of the facilities behind the Stacey West Stand, but we've also been able to provide cover for every travelling disabled fan as well as extra capacity in the club shop and in some of the club-run concession points inside the stadium. As a long-distance follower for much of the season I'm really looking forward to hearing the commentary of John Helm on our Imps+ service.
As a board and a group of investors, we are committed to maintaining a competitive sporting budget and delivering the best possible fan experience.
Although our business in this transfer window still has some way to go, we feel the first-team squad is competitive and we can have a successful season. I'd like to extend a warm welcome to Sonny Bradley and Ryley Towler. I’d also like to thank Jay Benn, Tyler Walker, Ali Smith, Zak Bradshaw, Sam Clucas, Paudie O’Connor, Sean Roughan and Ethan Erhahon for their service and we wish them well in their future careers, albeit I withdraw that comment for our former skipper until after this weekend.
You as supporters have once again done the club proud, with more than 5,500 Gold Memberships sold. This consistent level of backing, in conjunction with planned backing from the investor group, means we are able to spend even more on our first team squad - although the ever-changing football landscape means it feels harder than ever for us to compete on a level playing field.
For fans that are still wondering how they can help us this season - just please keep turning up. Every Gold, Silver or Bronze Membership, ticket or shirt that's bought helps us stay competitive. On matchdays, everyone getting behind the team can make a real difference. I'll be watching via Imps+ on Saturday but I am sure those of you in the LNER Stadium will give the team a great welcome and get right behind them as they look to start the season on a positive note.
Up the Imps
