The young Imps welcome Burton Albion to the Gen2 Energy Elite Performance Centre on Friday 10 April (2pm KO) as they look to make it four wins on the bounce.
It’s been over a week since City’s last fixture, as they emerged 4-2 winners over Carlisle United. They’ve since had an Easter break and look to return in the same form as they left off when hosting the Brewers on Friday afternoon.
Tillen said: “The break has presented a great opportunity to get players who are still at school training with the lads and further integrate them into the squad.
“We have also used this time to look at prospective players with an eye now firmly on next season.”
This will be the third time these two sides have met during the 2025/26 campaign, with Tillen’s men yet to get the better of Friday’s opposition.
The first meeting came in the group stage of the PDL Cup, where a 1-1 draw was the outcome, with Dan Vanderpuye scoring for the young Imps. Most recently, the Imps were on the receiving end of a 6-2 defeat at the hands of Burton, and Sam Tillen hopes his young squad can put that behind them.
He said: “We look forward to welcoming Burton, we know they are a good side who are effective in possession and their shape.
“Hopefully the training has integrated the new players and we can produce a positive performance off the back of three consecutive wins.”
