Chief executive Liam Scully has provided an update ahead of the 2026/27 season.
As we prepare to welcome supporters back to the ProAmpac Stadium, I would like to take a moment to recognise the extraordinary amount of work that has taken place over the summer.
The delivery of Imps Territory, alongside the wider programme of stadium improvements, has been an incredible collective effort in true Lincoln City style. A project of this scale would ordinarily take 40+ weeks to deliver. Our partners, contractors and team members have achieved it in just 17 weeks.
That has required an enormous commitment from a huge number of people, often working long days and under significant pressure to get us ready for the new season. On behalf of everyone at Lincoln City, I want to thank every single person who has played their part.
We are incredibly proud of what has been achieved and cannot wait for supporters to see the changes for themselves.
A lot of thought has gone into how we approach a matchday at the ProAmpac Stadium, and you all have a huge role to play. We’re excited for you to see how you can continue to create an atmosphere which helps gives us an edge at home this season.
We’ve put a lot of thought into our build-up to kick-off, looking to maximise that opportunity to create an intimidating atmosphere. More than 90% of fans told us this summer that they wanted the Dam Busters March to remain as our walkout song, and we’re delighted to keep including this in our pre-match routine. 73.5% of respondents to the same survey told us they didn’t want the introduction of goal music. We hear you, and we will not change what has been a winning formula.
With all of that excitement, however, comes a request for your support.
There has been a huge amount of change across the stadium. We have new facilities, new operational processes, new technology and many new team members finding their feet.
Our ambition is always to deliver the very best possible experience for supporters, but with so much being introduced at once, it is realistic to expect one or two growing pains during the opening fixtures.
If something is not quite perfect immediately, please bear with us. Tell us where we can improve, give our staff the opportunity to put things right and, above all, please continue to show them the patience and support for which Lincoln City supporters are renowned.
As part of this, I should also share for transparency that we found out yesterday that we were unable to open the hospitality suite on the first floor of the Rilmac Stand for the game tomorrow. Supporters who have backed us by buying hospitality seats in this area are being accommodated elsewhere for their pre-match experience, and will be able to take their seats as expected. This is not the standard of hospitality we expect and will deliver, but everyone is grateful for the patience as we complete the final works for required for safety and compliance.
There is one further area where we particularly need everyone’s help.
Following recent FA action, the club effectively remains on a yellow card for the remainder of this season. Further incidents could lead to significantly more serious consequences, including the possibility of restrictions or partial closure of areas of the stadium.
We know that the overwhelming majority of Lincoln City supporters simply want to come to the game, support the team and enjoy the occasion. Unfortunately, the actions of one or two individuals can have consequences for thousands.
We have waited a very long time to experience days like these.
Lincoln City are back in the Championship. Our stadium is developing. Our football club continues to move forward.
Please help us make sure that nobody jeopardises that. Support the team passionately. Create the atmosphere that makes our home special. Look after each other, respect those around you and, if you see something that could cause a problem, please alert a steward or member of staff.
There is so much for us all to be proud of and so much to look forward to.
Thank you for your continued support, thank you for your patience as we settle into our new surroundings, and thank you in advance for playing your part in making the ProAmpac Stadium a place we can all enjoy.
Up the Imps.
