James Collins was given his first start for the Imps at Wigan Athletic.

Collins had caught the eye in his two appearances off the bench since signing from Derby County, and partnered Jovon Makama up front at the Brick Community Stadium.

Midfielder Ethan Hamilton also came into the starting line-up, as one of three changes made by head coach Michael Skubala.

He said: "We've freshened up midfield - Conor's done loads for us and we know what Ethan brings to us so we think he can be a good influence in the game.

"James has come in and is flying. Having Jovon alongside him gives us that extra bit of pace in behind."

Zach Jeacock continues in goal, with George Wickens returning from a shoulder injury to take a place on the bench.

Skubala added: "George has been back training with us and is ready to go, but Zach's done well since he's coming in so he keeps the shirt."

Ben House is also fit to be included in the squad despite being forced out of Tuesday’s game against Blackpool with a dead leg.

Imps: Jeacock, Darikwa, Jackson, Erhahon, Bayliss, Hamilton, O’Connor (c), Jefferies, Roughan, Collins, Makama, Subs: Wickens, Montsma, Hackett, Ring, McGrandles, House, Draper.
