City head coach Michael Skubala named summer signings Ryley Towler and Sonny Bradley in his starting XI for Tuesday night’s pre-season friendly fixture with Grimsby Town at Blundell Park.
Towler and Bradley were joined in the backline by Tom Hamer and captain Tendayi Darikwa. Tom Bayliss and Ethan Hamilton were partnered in midfield. Jovon Makama, Ben House and Jack Moylan started in the attacking third, behind forward James Collins.
Skubala named four scholars from the club’s Academy on the bench, central defender Charlie Carlisle was joined by wing-backs Noah Simmons and Orin Aldridge, as well as striker Dan Vanderpuye.
