Adam Reach, Sonny Bradley and Frankie Okoronkwo come into the starting line-up for City's trip to Burton Albion.
Head coach Michael Skubala is forced to make changes, as Ryley Towler and Rob Street serve one-match bans, with Reach ad Okoronkwo slotting into their positions.
Bradley returns to the starting line-up after being forced to sit out the 2-2 draw with Wigan Athletic through suspension.
Ben House, who scored the winning goal in the Carabao Cup second round tie at the Pirelli Stadium earlier in the season, also comes back into the starting XI.
Ivan Varfolomeev comes onto the bench after international duty, as does Justin Obikwu who is involved in a matchday squad for the first time after his deadline day move on loan from Coventry City.
"It will be a very different game from our last visit, both teams have got completely different sides out.
"Rob and Ryley are both suspended which means we've been forced into a couple of changes, but there are some tactical ones in there, too.
"This is why we wanted depth in the team and it is a great chance for the players coming into the side to show what they can do."
