The Imps changing room ahead of the away game at Mansfield Town

Imps skipper Paudie O’Connor returned to the starting line-up at Birmingham City after serving a suspension.

The defender sat out City’s last two Sky Bet League One fixtures due to an accumulation of yellow cards and has been immediately recalled to the starting line-up by head coach Michael Skubala.

The boss has also opted to for one other change to his XI, bringing forward Ben House back into the side, with Reeco Hackett making way.

Jovon Makama and James Collins have been rewarded for their goalscoring exploits in midweek with a second successive start.

Skubala said: “Having Paudie back is good news for us. His leadership is a huge asset to the team and his overall performances this season have been fantastic.

“With Paudie at the back and James Collins up top, we have two really experienced players at both ends of the pitch who can have a big influence.

“I thought Reeco Hackett was really good in midweek, but we’ve gone with Ben House for his pressing ability. Reeco is obviously ready to go if called upon off the bench.”

Imps: Wickens, Darikwa, Jackson, Bayliss, McGrandles, O’Connor, Jefferies, House, Roughan, Collins, Makama.

Substitutes: Jeacock, Hackett, Hamilton, Hamer, Clucas, Gardner, Draper.
