Rob Street is raring to go for Saturday’s friendly at Oldham Athletic following a positive week back on home soil.
Street made his first appearance for the Imps in a 1-0 win over Preston North End last Friday in Spain and has now built on this at the Soper of Lincoln Elite Performance Centre over the last couple of days.
He said: “I really enjoyed my first 45 minutes and it’s always nice to make your first appearance for the club.
“The weather played a part and the game was a bit slower in tempo than the back end of pre-season will look like, but it was really good.
“It was a challenge and I’m not one who works as well in the heat but it was a really positive experience and I have enjoyed getting to know all the players on a closer level.”
Street was also impressed with the amount of City supporters who made the journey overseas for the win over Preston and hopes to build on the foundations laid by the squad over the coming weeks.
He continued: “I was really impressed and we brought a really good number of supporters over who created a decent atmosphere.
“It was a really good week building the foundations of pre-season and it’s also nice to start making those connections with the players on the pitch.”
