City head coach Michael Skubala has been nominated for the December Manager of the Month award.
The Imps were in stunning form during the month, collecting 13 points from 15 available, a run which saw eye-catching wins over Cardiff City, Stockport County and Barnsley.
The nominees for the award are as follows:
Brian Barry-Murphy (Cardiff City)
Cardiff won five of their six League One fixtures for 15 points from a possible 18, scoring 12 goals. Each win was by a one-goal margin, which speaks volumes about the belief and character Barry-Murphy has instilled in his young squad.
Ian Evatt (Blackpool)
Once club captain, Evatt’s return to Bloomfield Road has brought positivity and transformed the atmosphere. Third from bottom at the beginning of December, he led his side to 13 points from five unbeaten games and a 12-2 goals differential.
Michael Skubala (Lincoln City)
Wins over Cardiff and Stockport figured prominently in City’s unbeaten month to earn 13 points from five matches. Skubala’s players possess a resilience that allows them to ride out periods of pressure within games.
Luke Williams (Peterborough United)
Williams has simplified Peterborough’s approach since taking over. His 4-2-3-1 system has restored their famed attacking play and taken the pressure off an over-worked defence, resulting in 13 points from five unbeaten games.
The Sky Bet Manager of the Month judging panel comprises former Barnsley manager Danny Wilson, Sky Sports’ EFL expert Don Goodman, and Sky Bet EFL trader Ivor Davies.
