City head coach Michael Skubala has collected his fourth Manager of the Month award of an incredible 2025/26 campaign, after picking up the prize for April.
The Imps continued their record-breaking form into April, which saw them earn 16 points from 18 available, sealing a fifth month undefeated, winning promotion and landing the Sky Bet League One title.
The Imps began April with a 1-0 win on home soil against AFC Wimbledon on Good Friday, before a famous 2-1 win away to Reading on Easter Monday ensured City's return to the Sky Bet Championship for the firs time in 61 years.
City did not relent and picked up a win and a draw against Leyton Orient and Stevenage before wrapping up the title with a victory at Doncaster Rovers.
The culminated in City hitting the 100 point landmark with a home win over Wycombe Wanderers, before they lifted the trophy in front of their supporters at the LNER Stadium.
It was very much a collective effort, which saw skipper Tendayi Darikwa nominated for the Sky Bet League One Player of the Month award, however he was pipped to the top prize by Kasey Palmer of Luton Town.
