Michael Skubala is looking forward to City’s first pre-season run out against Preston North End on Friday.
City’s head coach is looking forward to seeing the players in action, but has reiterated that at this stage it’s all about minutes, rather than results.
He said: “I’m looking forward to it. It's been a really tough week for the lads, we've worked them really hard with double sessions in the sun but the important thing is we start getting minutes into their legs in a couple of different groups.
“The priority at this moment is to get through unscathed and to get 45 minutes into the legs.”
Skubala is thankful to the number of City supporters who have made the impressive trip overseas to back the Imps on Friday morning in Spain.
He added: “It's just good for the lads to get some support. It's great to see some fans travelling.
“Hopefully it will be a nice, enjoyable afternoon and they’ll get to see some of the players and staff while enjoying a bit of football in the sun.”
