Tom Shaw is looking forward to another opportunity for City to demonstrate their qualities on the road, with the Imps preparing for a demanding double-header against Watford and QPR.
City travel to Vicarage Road on Tuesday evening before heading to London on Saturday, with Shaw keen for his side to approach both fixtures with the same positive and front-foot mentality that has helped them make an encouraging start to life in the Sky Bet Championship.
Shaw explained: “We've got a strategy that we've taken away from home in recent times that we believe in, and things can be really effective.
“We want to be as front-foot as we possibly can, but we're super aware of what we've got at our disposal.
“We're going to have to be at our best. It's an away performance where it's going to take a lot of graft, a lot of hard yards, we're going to have to dig in and show moments of quality. We're excited by the challenge.”
The head coach is expecting a difficult test against a Watford side boasting plenty of individual talent and believes City will need to deliver a complete performance to get a positive result.
Shaw also highlighted the importance of maintaining the standards which have underpinned the team's performances this season, with the coaching staff continuing to review and learn from every fixture.
He added: “We debrief every game. We're always looking to learn, obviously, and if we want to pick up points in this division, which we will, we have to keep improving."
