David Preece has returned to City as first team goalkeeping coach.

Preece is a familiar face at the Imps, having initially joined as a player in December 2012. He became the goalkeeping coach the following year, holding the role until the end of the 2015/16 campaign.

His vast coaching experience since includes being part of the Sunderland team which won promotion via the play-offs in 2021/22. He was most recently part of the backroom staff of Indian Super League side Mumbai City, part of the City Football Group.

Preece joins the Imps to replace Scott Fry, who is set to join a Sky Bet Championship club. Fry will continue in a coaching capacity while serving his notice period or until agreement is reached to allow him to take up the new role.
