Lukas Jensen described a positive feeling around the camp as the players returned for pre-season ahead of the 24/25 campaign.
The Dane is hoping to build on a successful first term with the Imps, and is optimistic heading into preparations for the new season.
Jensen said: “I’ve been looking forward to returning for a long time now. It was good being away but once you’ve been away for a certain amount of time you just want to get back to it and see all the lads.
“There is a positive feeling around the camp, I saw smiles on all the lads’ faces, and me as well, so it’s been really good to be back and say hi to everyone.”
As part of their pre-season schedule City will make the journey over to Spain to continue training and face-off against Championship Preston North End.
Jensen added: “It’s one of the best things about pre-season in that it allows you to spend some time with each other, and get to know the new lads as well.
“It helps build connections, and it’s something you need throughout the season. It’s something we’re all looking forward to.”
