Jack Moylan described his Republic of Ireland debut as a moment he will “never forget” after scoring a sensational hat-trick in his first senior international appearance against Grenada.

The attacking midfielder enjoyed a memorable afternoon for his country, continuing the impressive form which saw him play a key role in Lincoln City’s title-winning campaign as the Imps secured promotion to the Sky Bet Championship.

Moylan was one of the standout performers throughout the season and his displays earned him a place in the Sky Bet League One EFL Team of the Season before taking that momentum onto the international stage.

Moylan said: “It’s a day I’ll never forget. Making my Republic of Ireland debut was already a huge moment for me, but to score three goals on top of that is something really special. It probably hasn’t fully sunk in yet.

“Growing up, you dream about representing your country and having moments like this, so to experience it first-hand is incredible and something I’m really proud of.”

The 24-year-old also paid tribute to those who supported him throughout the campaign at the LNER Stadium.

He added: “The support I’ve had all season from the club, staff and supporters has been unbelievable and I’m proud to represent Lincoln City on this stage.”
