Jack Moylan says he’s as hungry as he’s ever been as he looks to make up for lost time with the Imps this term.

The attacking midfielder was forced into a prolonged spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury in January 2025, but now insists he’s determined to make his mark with the Imps after returning to full fitness.

“I’m as hungry as I’ve ever been, I want to play football, no matter what game or competition,” Moylan said.

“I came over to England to be a part of this team and make it better. We’ve got a great group of people in the building and I truly believe that we can have a good season if everyone sticks together.

“Pre-season is really important, you have to set your standards from a team perspective, but from an individual one too.

“I want to do everything in my power to ensure I give myself the best chance of starting the first game.”

Moylan had been praised publicly by head coach Michael Skubala for his mentality after returning from his injury ahead of schedule.

Initially, it was thought that the Irishman would be out for the remainder of the 2024/25 campaign, but his hard work paid off, returning to action in the Easter Monday victory over Bolton Wanderers.

“Last season I picked up my first ‘big’ injury and I was told that I wouldn’t play again for the remainder of the campaign,” he added.

“I was determined to get back as soon as possible and set a target of being fit for Wrexham, I worked really hard and managed to get back for the Bolton match.

“I knew then that I had three chances to get involved in the team and get some minutes under my belt before going away and working as hard as I possibly could over the summer.

“I feel like I’ve come back in really good shape, I’m determined to stay fit and play a really big part this season.”
