Jack Moylan is pleased to be back with the group after City returned for pre-season this week.
Moylan shared his excitement to be back amongst his teammates as they look to prepare themselves for their Sky Bet Championship campaign.
He said: “I love going back to Dublin, but I knew after three days that I couldn’t wait to get back over here to see the lads and everyone in the building.
“There has been a lot of changes to the group, to the building and to the staff so it’s going to be a really exciting year and we’re all ready for it.”
Since the conclusion of last season, Chris Cohen and Tom Shaw have been appointed as head coaches, and Moylan said the relationships built with the players throughout their time with the Imps will help make the transition a smooth one.
Moylan said: “They deserve the chance they are getting this year, they’re two brilliant coaches but I think more importantly, in the dressing room we know they’re brilliant people that have done a lot for us and will do a lot more.
“I think the biggest thing is just getting the fans behind them because the players are all in with the two of them.”
Callum Elder is the most recent addition to the City squad and Moylan spoke about the importance of getting new faces embedded into the squad citing the upcoming trip to Spain as an opportunity to do that.
He said: “We said it last year, it was such a good time in Portugal, we joked about it at the end of the season that it was the reason we won the league.
“I think it’s massive, we have a few new faces in the building so to get them in and settled when you’re away is so important. Obviously, Callum is in the building now and making him feel welcome is huge.”
