City are back on the road on Saturday as they head to the Gaughan Group Stadium to face Leyton Orient (3pm KO).

Read what head coach Michael Skubala and defender Sean Roughan had to say ahead of the game, as well as catch up on all the important match information in this preview.

Michael Skubala:

"With three games in eight days we're going to need everybody in the squad, so changes will come within this run. I watched them against Mansfield Town on Tuesday night and they dismantled them in the first half.

"They're on an absolutely amazing run and credit to them, they're probably the team that's outperforming where everybody thought they would be. So it's going to be a really tough test for us to go away there and get something, but we've got to have a plan to be really resilient and try and go after the game as much as possible."

Sean Roughan:

“I look forward to every game that comes up. Especially in this league, everyone game is tough. There's no easy games, we saw that on the weekend, like Cambridge. We have to learn from that and we're going to a side that's completely different, like to keep the ball, have good movement but we'll be ready to go.

“I'm happy to play anywhere. I’ve played left back this season. I played wing back first stint as well. Obviously, that wouldn't be my favourite position, but I'd play left back or centre back or left of the three, Wherever the head coach wants me to play, I'll play.”

A look at the opposition:

Orient have gone from strength to strength in the third tier since being promoted from Sky Bet League Two in 2023.

Richie Wellens' side battled hard against English champions Manchester City in the fourth round of the Emirates FA Cup last weekend but ultimately came away with a 2-1 defeat after second half strikes from Abdukodir Khusanov and Kevin de Bruyne. On Tuesday evening they bounced back with a 3-0 win against fellow League One side Mansfield Town.

In the fixture at the LNER Stadium, City completed an impressive comeback with forwards Jovon Makama and Freddie Draper scoring in the second half.

Match Information:

Matt Corlett is the match referee and he will be assisted by Ross Murphy and Stephen Brown. Harry Wager will be the fourth official.

With around 800 sold as of the morning of Friday 14 February, this allocation has been increased to almost 1,000 (with the new allocation in the upper section).

Supporters will be able to pay on the day at the Leyton Orient ticket office, but there will be a price increase.
