The Imps return to the LNER Stadium on Saturday 26 October when they host Stockport County (3pm KO).
Read the thoughts of both Michael Skubala and Jack Moylan, while catching up on important match information in this preview.
Skubala’s thoughts:
“It’s a great way to bounce back if you get the results. Teams like Stockport will be different to teams like Crawley, which is the challenge of this league as every team’s different. We can’t dwell on Tuesday night, we need to look forward to the next game, and it’ll be a tough game, they’re going really well. We’ve got to plan for it and hopefully put a performance in.
“They’ve got some really good attacking threats and some really fast players. They’ve started the season well, and they’ll be pleased with where they are. We’re at home and we’ve got to take the game to them in a way that we can attack the goal more.
“All our strikers offer something different and it’s trying to find the right blend. We’re in a situation where we need all of them and I’m more than happy with their contribution and their overall game.”
Moylan’s take:
“I’ve loved my time here so far. It’s been brilliant - I’ve settled in well, made a lot of friends here, and just want to keep winning games and moving forward. I’ve improved everything, especially the small things you pick up on physically and tactically.
“It’s important that we get back to winning ways straight away and not feel sorry for ourselves. There’s two games coming up that we’re going out to win, and bounce back from the last couple of games.
“Ethan Hamilton is brilliant, he’s been training really well and it’s good to get him back. I’m delighted to see him back, he’s pushing the boys in training which drives competition which just makes the squad stronger.”
A look at the opposition:
Life back in Sky Bet League One has started brilliantly for Stockport County who currently lie in 9th spot with just one loss to their name so far in the league.
Last year’s Sky Bet League Two champions are currently unbeaten on their travels, with their solitary defeat coming in a surprise 4-1 home loss to Leyton Orient.
After setting off like a train with three wins from three to start the campaign, progress has stalled for County slightly, with Dave Challinor’s men coming into Saturday’s fixture off the back of three consecutive draws.
Top scorer: Louie Barry (7 goals)
Form: DWDDD
