Logicool Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps are into their third year as City’s sleeve sponsors, both as Logicool and their Easy Heat Pumps brand.
Formed in 2008 and offering over 300 years combined industry experience, Logicool is a technically biased and customer focused specialist distributor of heat pump systems.
As part of the agreement which sees Easy Heat Pumps’ branding displayed on City’s jerseys for another campaign, managing director and avid City supporter Karl Richardson committed to adapting the company’s logo to match the colours of the club.
He said: “I’ve been an Imp for more than 45 years, with my business Logicool Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps first going into partnership with City in 2019 as player sponsors.
“The partnership developed over the years and three years later, we were offered the opportunity to become the first shirt sleeve sponsors although a tight deadline meant we had to make a very quick decision whether to commit.
“Despite the funding challenge, my primary concern was that our blue and green logo could have clashed with my childhood club's shirt!
“So, we set about to change our entire branding to complement the red and white stripes.
“Coincidentally, our primary supplier Mitsubishi Electric Ecodan Heat Pumps, have identical colours in their branding and, following a quick conversation that same afternoon, committed to co-fund the sponsorship agreement. All of this was achieved in five hours.
“I’m very proud to know that I can and do contribute to my club. We are into our third season now and committed to two more.
“I love to see our logo on the shirt and knowing that I care about the look of the brand and how I dealt with at the time still makes me smile. I wasn't prepared to let my logo clash with my beloved club colours.”
Head of commercial Bobby Copping added: “We’re extremely proud of the connection we have with Logicool Air Conditioning and Heat Pumps.
“Karl has demonstrated on numerous occasions that the football club holds a really special place in his heart and changing his company colours to match our own is another fantastic example of that.
“I know I’m speaking on behalf of everyone at the football club when I say how much we’re looking forward to working with Karl and the rest of the team moving forward.”
