Midfielder Dom Jefferies believes the Imps face a stern test this weekend as they travel to Plymouth Argyle, with City looking to extend their 12-game Sky Bet League One unbeaten run at Home Park on Saturday.
Jefferies had an option triggered in his contract with the club during the week, keeping him as an Imp until the summer of 2028. The 23-year-old spoke about the atmosphere and energy surrounding the group.
He said: “Everyone is buzzing, we’re 12 games unbeaten - it’s important that we keep this run going and don’t get too far ahead of ourselves, we need to just enjoy it.”
The Pilgrims await City and the Welshman looked ahead to what sort of challenge he expects from this weekend’s opposition after a season of two halves so far for from Argyle.
Jefferies added: “I don’t think any game is easy in League One, it’s been difficult and every game so far has been a graft.
"You have to earn the three points but we’re going there wanting to win games and pick up as many points as we can.”
