City have agreed a new partnership between its LCFC Innovation Lab and fast-growing startup Ops-App, marking another step in the club’s commitment to driving innovation on and off the pitch.
The agreement will see Ops-App join the Lincoln City Innovation Lab, gaining access to the club’s business network, facilities, and growth support ecosystem, while collaborating on a shared growth model aligned to commercial success.
Through the partnership, City will provide strategic marketing support, including digital promotion, matchday exposure, and access to its extensive partner network. Ops-App will also benefit from the Innovation Lab accelerator programme, including workspace, expert mentoring, and opportunities to connect with regional and national businesses.
The partnership is built around a growth-sharing model, reinforcing a long-term commitment from both organisations to scale Ops-App’s commercial impact while showcasing the Innovation Lab as a platform for ambitious startups.
Neil Everatt, entrepreneur in residence at Lincoln City Football Club, said: “This partnership with Ops-App is exactly what the LCFC Innovation Lab was created to deliver - meaningful, growth-focused collaboration with ambitious businesses.
“We see enormous potential in Ops-App and are excited to support Simon and his team as they scale. By combining our network, platform and commercial expertise with their innovation, we can create something that delivers real value for both organisations and the wider business community.”
Simon Blades, founder of Ops-App, added: “Partnering with Lincoln City and the Innovation Lab is a huge opportunity for Ops-App at this stage of our journey.
“The access to expertise, network, and visibility that the club provides is incredibly powerful. This isn’t just a sponsorship - it’s a genuine growth partnership that will help us accelerate our development and reach new markets.
“We’re excited to work closely with Neil and the team to build something impactful both locally and beyond.”
The collaboration further strengthens Lincoln City’s position as a hub for business innovation, using the reach and infrastructure of a professional football club to support start-up growth.
The LCFC Innovation Lab continues to attract forward-thinking companies looking to scale through partnership, offering a unique blend of commercial opportunity, brand exposure, and practical business support.
