The Lincoln City Innovation Lab has agreed a new partnership with RecoupIQ, supporting the business as it looks to accelerate its growth.
Founded by chief executive Alex Vasile, Lincoln-based start-up RecoupIQ provides businesses with an online supplier checking and monitoring solution designed to help them better understand the organisations they work with and identify potential risks within their supply chains.
The platform continually monitors suppliers and provides alerts around factors including financial difficulties, changes of ownership and director movements, helping businesses make more informed decisions about existing and prospective suppliers.
Vasile joined the Innovation Lab’s Kick Off Accelerator programme in April 2026, with RecoupIQ subsequently becoming an Innovation Lab partner in July.
The new agreement will see Lincoln City provide RecoupIQ with support, strategic direction and access to its networks in exchange for equity in the business, creating a shared interest in the company’s long-term growth.
The Innovation Lab identified RecoupIQ as a business with significant potential due to the distinctive nature of its product and Vasile’s drive to develop and scale the company.
Entrepreneur-in-residence Neil Everatt said: “Alex really stood out to us during the Kick Off Accelerator programme. He has a huge amount of drive and determination, while RecoupIQ is tackling a genuine challenge faced by businesses of all sizes.
“Understanding who you are doing business with and being able to identify changes within your supply chain can be incredibly important. RecoupIQ brings that information together in a way which can help businesses make better-informed decisions.
“This partnership is also a good example of what we want the Innovation Lab to achieve. We want to identify ambitious founders and businesses, work alongside them and use the club’s experience, expertise and networks to help accelerate their growth.
“By taking an equity stake in RecoupIQ, our interests are aligned. We believe in Alex and the potential of the business, and we’re looking forward to playing our part in the next stage of its development.”
RecoupIQ founder and chief executive Alex Vasile added: “Joining the Kick Off Accelerator programme was a really important step for RecoupIQ and gave me the opportunity to work closely with the team at the Innovation Lab.
“The support, challenge and connections I have already received have been hugely valuable, so taking the relationship to the next level through this partnership felt like a natural progression.
“Our aim with RecoupIQ is to give businesses greater visibility and confidence when it comes to their suppliers. Risks can develop quickly, and having access to the right information at the right time can make a significant difference.
“Having Lincoln City and their Innovation Lab alongside us as we grow is incredibly exciting. Their network, commercial experience and willingness to support ambitious businesses can help us accelerate our plans, and I’m looking forward to seeing what we can achieve together.”
