Sam Tillen was proud of his side's resilience in the comeback 6-2 victory over Hartlepool United.
A brace for both Will Cowin and Sammy Corkhill alongside contributions from Charlie Carlisle and Josh Kennealey ensured that Tillen's side finish their home campaign in style, at the Elite Performance Centre.
A quick start from Hartlepool saw them get their noses in front early on. However, goals from Charlie Carlisle and Josh Kennealey, just before the break made sure Tillen's side had the advantage going into the half-time.
The Imps head coach was pleased with the foundaitons his team had in order to go and attack. He said: "I thought we pressed very well and our structure out of possession was great. In the second half we looked stronger, a real threat in attack and we deserved, at least the four goals we scored."
The result sees the Imps move back into the top six, ahead of their final game of the season against Huddersfield Town.
Tillen is looking to end the season on a high after the impressive victory. He said: "We managed to get minutes for Noah Simmons, Orin Aldridge and Dan Vanderpuye coming back from injury, which was very pleasing before the end of the season.
"Hopefully we can cut out the unforced errors going into our final game and continue with the positives to help us to end the season on a high."
