City recently achieved their highest-ever position in the Think Fan Engagement Index, finishing second in the national rankings for the 2025/26 season.
The Imps’ record-breaking position recognises the club’s continued commitment to putting supporters at the heart of its operations, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in key decisions.
Produced annually by Think Fan Engagement (TFE), the Fan Engagement Index assesses clubs across the Premier League, EFL and National League on their approach to supporter engagement, including dialogue, governance and transparency.
City’s second-place finish reflects the club’s ongoing work to strengthen relationships with supporters, provide meaningful opportunities for feedback and ensure fans play an important role in shaping the future of the club.
The achievement comes during a period of significant progress both on and off the pitch, with the club continuing to develop its approach to supporter consultation and communication.
Head of fan experience Mark Hughesman said: “Finishing second nationally is a fantastic achievement and reflects the importance we place on building strong, meaningful relationships with our supporters.
“We recognise that our fans are at the heart of everything we do, and their feedback, experiences and ideas are invaluable in helping us make better decisions as a football club.
“This recognition is a credit to the work taking place across the club and to the supporters who continue to engage with us so constructively.
“While we’re incredibly proud of this achievement, we know there is always more we can do. We’ll continue to listen, learn and develop our approach to ensure supporters have a genuine voice in the future of Lincoln City.”
Kevin Rye, from Think Fan Engagement, highlighted the value of clubs drawing on the knowledge and experience of their supporters when making decisions.
He said: “Clubs have access to experience and knowledge from fans that can help to spot problems before they occur.”
City’s record-high ranking provides further recognition of the club’s commitment to meaningful supporter engagement, with the aim of ensuring fans remain central to its long-term development and success.
