City are supporting lifelong Imps fan Katie Brien by auctioning a Sky Bet League One-winning medal to help raise funds for her cancer treatment campaign.

Katie, aged 30, is fighting cancer for the third time and has reached the end of the treatment options available to her in the UK.

She is now raising money to access groundbreaking integrative oncology and immunotherapy treatment via the Hallwang Clinic in Germany, with her fundraising campaign aiming to reach £75,000.

More than £60,000 has already been raised towards that target thanks to the incredible generosity of family, friends and the wider community.

Having learned about Katie’s story, City are putting a special piece of Imps history up for auction with the proceeds going towards her campaign.

Katie said: “I’m really grateful for the support of everyone and the club and I’m just overwhelmed with how well the GoFundMe page is going.”

Katie has a long standing connection with City, having first had a season ticket holder with the Imps since she was three-years-old alongside her family.

The club has a League One-winning medal available, and it will now be auctioned to give supporters the opportunity to own a unique piece of Lincoln City history while also helping Katie continue her fight.

The auction is being supported alongside Lincoln City Foundation, whose work includes supporting people affected by cancer through its Fighting Fit programme.
