Jack Moylan's impressive strike sent City on the way to victory over Leyton Orient - extending the unbeaten tun to 25 games.

The Irishman scored a powerful goal in the first half that flew past the visiting keeper Will Dennis.

City doubled their lead when Tendayi Darikwa's cross was turned into his own net by  Will Forrester, with a goal by Dom Bollard denying George Wickens a clean sheet.

Orient had the first opportunity of the game in the first minute. Bollard ran down the left wing and shot when he entered the box, but the attempt went wide.

The Imps closely followed with a strike from Darikwa that powered narrowly past one of the posts - all before one minute had elapsed.

City had the ball again on the opposition’s end of the pitch. Reeco Hackett sent a rolling shot to the left side of the goal in the penalty area, but the ball went out of play.

Ryan Oné had a shot from just outside the box after 11 minutes. He found himself in the centre after a pass landed at his feet. Oné shot from the spot he was in, but the ball was caught by Orient keeper Dennis.

The Imps received a free kick halfway into the away end when Moylan was fouled after 16 minutes. Hackett crossed the ball into the crowd of players in the box, where Tom Hamer was available to head it towards the goal - which forced Dennis into an impressive dive to get a hand to it.

The Imps got another chance after 29 minutes after they received a free kick just past the halfway line. Tom Bayliss crossed the ball to the other side of the pitch where it was headed into the middle of the crowd of players before it was shot towards goal. An Orient player deflected the attempt just over the goal.

George Wickens collided with Jack Simpson in the goal area after 37 minutes which led to the Orient player receiving a yellow card. A pause in the game followed due to the visitor’s goalkeeper requiring medical attention.

Orient had an opportunity to equalise after 47 minutes when a strike from outside the box had to be punched away by Wickens. A corner was given, but it resulted in a handball in the box by one of the visitors.

Darikwa increased the lead for the Imps after 50 minutes. He crossed the ball toward House, but the ball ended up catching on the foot of Orient’s captain, Forrester, and deflected into the goal, out of reach for the keeper, resulting in an own goal and finishing the first half.

City started the second half strong with their first strike after 46 minutes. Bayliss went up against an O’s player just outside the box to get to the ball first before smashing it toward the goal, but the goalkeeper got his hand to it and hit it clear for a corner.

The Imps were dominant for the next few minutes. They had a go after 49 minutes, when Hackett kicked the ball to the right side of the goal, before it was sent out for a corner. Shortly after, Oné received the ball in the box before he struck it and just missed the top of the goal, after 50 minutes.

Orient decided to change their side after 54 minutes when they replaced Simpson with Sonny Perkins. The Imps followed with a change after 62 minutes, where House was replaced with Rob Street.
