Mark Hughesman has been appointed as the Imps’ new head of fan experience.

Mark joined the club this summer as marketing manager, having previously held the same position at Club Doncaster where he led on fan experience and family excellence as part of that role.

Since arriving at the Imps, Mark has impressed with his work across the supporter journey and has now stepped up into the newly established role, which will see him take a strategic lead on the club’s approach to fan experience and engagement.

The appointment reflects the club’s commitment to continuing to invest in and develop the experience of our supporters, recognising the vital role they play at the heart of everything we do both on and off the pitch.

Alongside the head of retail and ticketing operations, Mark will lead the direction and commercial growth of the club’s fan experience, with responsibility spanning ticketing, memberships, experiences, matchday and retail.

He will oversee the club’s Fan Engagement Plan, using supporter insight, feedback and commercial data to identify opportunities to improve the experience of attending matches, strengthen engagement and retention, and support the long-term growth of the club’s fanbase.

A key part of the role will be ensuring the voice of supporters continues to shape decision-making across ticketing, membership and retail, with Mark working closely with supporter groups, the Fan Advisory Board and departments across the club.

He will also have strategic oversight of the Club’s Fan Engagement Index and EFL Family Excellence performance, helping to set standards and identify opportunities to continually improve the experience provided to supporters.

Mark said: “I’m really pleased to take on this new role and to have the opportunity to play a bigger part in shaping the experience our supporters have with the club.

“It's very clear to me just how much our supporters mean to everyone at Lincoln City, and how important it is that we continue to listen to them and understand what matters to them.

“There’s a real opportunity to build on the work that’s already taking place across ticketing, membership, retail and the wider matchday experience, while using supporter feedback and insight so we’re continually improving.

“I’m excited to work with colleagues across the club, our supporter groups and the Fan Advisory Board to make sure the voice of our supporters remains at the centre of what we do, and to help make being an Imp the best experience it can be.”

Chief commercial officer, Bobby Copping said: “Mark has made a positive impact since joining the club, and we’re delighted to see him step into this new role. He has quickly demonstrated a strong understanding of our supporters and the wider fan journey, alongside the commercial insight needed to help us continue developing in this area.

“Fan experience is hugely important to us as a club, and this appointment reflects our commitment to investing in how we engage with, listen to and support our fans. Mark will play a key role in driving the growth ofticketing, membership, retail and wider supporter engagement, ensuring we continue to put our supporters at the heart of our decision-making.”
