Help a local child have a magical Christmas

A child's hand plays with building blocks. There are other toys out of focus in the background of the image.

City will be helping collect toys across two matchdays to help the Family Action Toy Appeal this winter.

Family Action Toy Appeal work across Lincolnshire, working as a behaviour outreach support service.

They primarily work with Lincolnshire schools and academies to support pupils who display signs of distress affecting learning, attendance, their peers, or for those at risk of exclusion.

Collected items will be used to keep the magic of Christmas alive, giving children across the county presents they otherwise may not have had.

The Red Imps Community Trust (RICT) will be collecting any generous donations over two matchdays at the LNER Stadium. These are Tuesday 12 November (Manchester City U21s) and Saturday 23 November (Wycombe Wanderers).

Additionally, if you would like to donate on a non-matchday then the ticket office will be able to receive any generous donations. The Academy, too, is an official donation station, via reception at the Riseholme College’s Showground Campus.

The following gifts would be welcomed:

  • Toys
  • Arts/crafts
  • Books
  • Games (non-gambling)
  • Toiletry gift sets

Please note that the donations must be new and not already used. There is no need to wrap the donations. This allows the Family Action Toy Appeal to ensure that the right gift makes it way to the right child.
