Josh Kennealey was happy to have a big influence on Lincoln City U18’s 4-2 triumph over Wrexham on Saturday by scoring a hat-trick.
Kennealey scored the Imps’ opener just before the break, which he believes was the most important as it gave the team momentum going into the break.
He said: “I was very happy with the first goal as it was a pretty perfect time to score, it was practically the last kick of the half.
“We needed that win as we’ve gone through a couple of losses, and it was a convincing win as well.”
The U18s face Morecambe next in the league and Kennealey thinks that if the team can work hard for each other like they did against Wrexham they can keep on getting results.
He added: “I’d definitely say we’re confident going into the game against Morecambe now after that performance and scoring four goals, it doesn’t get much better than that.
