Lincolnshire racing car driver Jack Harvey says it is a dream come true to become a part-owner of the Imps - and that he and his parents are giving back to their local community.
Jack, who is from the area but has been based in the United States since 2014, and his family have made a modest investment in the club of which they are lifelong fans.
Jack said: "This has been a very organic thing and grew out of a conversation with Harvey Jabara. It means a lot to be an ever-so-tiny part of my hometown team, but also to show everybody that we're prepared to give back to our local community, where the club does so much.
"A lot of my family go to every game, so this becomes another way to unite and bond even when I'm having to follow from overseas via Imps+ or on social media."
Jack has formed a strong friendship with the Jabara family, who are the largest shareholders in Lincoln City Holdings. Harvey and Missy Jabara, along with their sons Jaxon and Jensen, have been regular visitors to the Indy 500 to support Jack.
He added: "I know it sounds cheesy, but first and foremost I consider them just great friends. I'm lucky to have people like them in my life.
"They are race fans and I'm sure they were surprised when they first saw me at a game! They're great people to learn from, are involved in lots of cool projects and I'm delighted to share in this adventure with them."
Director Harvey Jabara added: "It is with tremendous pleasure we welcome Jack Harvey and his parents, Paul and Annemarie, into the ownership group of Lincoln City.
"From our 2021 initial investment in the club, Jack and his family have become dear friends and their lifelong passion for our club was evident from our first introduction."
"Jack has consistently confided in me his desire to recognise and give back to Greater Lincolnshire, the City of Lincoln and Lincoln City FC, which he does in so many ways.
"Though, at the present time, Jack is in the United States, living his dream of IndyCar Series Racing and Fox Sports commentary, his heart is always with Lincoln City and attends matches when he is home, for which we are so very grateful.
"While we have him in the U.S., we look forward to him spreading the good word of and promoting our wonderful club.”
There has also been further US investment through Ken Maurice Newcomer, Mark Talarico, Dan Marolis and Alexander Schreck all joining the Lincoln City family as Club Patrons.
