Reeco Hackett says City's players are keeping fully focused on themselves as they look to extend their current strong form.
Saturday's 4-1 success at Plymouth Argyle was a fourth straight win, and stretched an unbeaten run in the league to 13 games.
Hackett, who scored twice in the victory at Home Park, said: "We're still improving and have levels to our game to get better, but we just focus on ourselves on a game by game basis to try and pick up points.
"We're very front footed and aggressive out of possession, and sometimes it's hard to then have a calm head when you land on the ball. That's been a really big part of our team that we've improved on and now I feel like we've got a really good balance."
Hackett scored both of his goals in front of more than 600 travelling fans, and he had words of praise for the backing shown to his team-mates this season.
He added: "They have been unbelievable. We split our journey down from Lincoln as we travelled on Thursday then Friday, so I can only imagine how tough it was for them.
"We all really appreciate it. We heard them all game, they drove us on and I'm sure they enjoyed it. Hopefully we can get some more wins for them."
