Sam Habergham is looking forward to City's meeting with Burnley this weekend, almost ten years on from the Imps' historic FA Cup victory at Turf Moor.
The former City defender played a key role in the famous 1-0 win in February 2017, with his corner leading to Sean Raggett's late winner as the Imps reached the quarter-finals of the competition.
Now an Imps+ co-commentator alongside John Helm, Habergham will be part of the coverage as the two sides meet again, this time in the Championship.
He said: "It's the first time since we beat them in the FA Cup that we're going to play them again, but in very, very different circumstances.
"People would probably always have thought Lincoln versus Burnley was going to be a cup fixture, but the way Lincoln City has grown as a football club just shows how far they've come and how they've bridged that gap. Now they've met in the Championship, and it's going to be amazing."
For Habergham, the closing stages of that afternoon at Turf Moor remain the most vivid memory, from the late winner to the celebrations with the travelling supporters.
He recalled: "The last five minutes of the game would have to be the first thing that comes to mind. That goal has been played so many times by myself, Lincoln fans and across football really, because it was such an iconic moment in FA Cup history.
"Following that, the next three or four minutes were about hanging on. I remember Tom Heaton coming up for last-minute corners as they tried to get back into the game.
"Then the final whistle went, and we went over to the fans who were raucous behind the goal. You probably then started to realise what the football club had done as a team, getting to the last eight of the FA Cup."
Habergham's corner was the starting point for that decisive moment, with the defender remembering the work that went into preparing the set-piece routine.
He continued: "It was a set-piece routine we'd worked on so many times during that season. It's something we took a lot of care and diligence over.
"From my perspective, you can see me running down the line, so I can see the goal line and the ball crossing it. A lot of us had our arms in the air, trying to make sure the referee gave the goal. As soon as he saw it on his watch, it erupted."
A decade on, Habergham believes the club's journey since that memorable season has been remarkable, with City now competing in the Championship after winning the League One title with 103 points last season.
He said: "That first year, we managed to get on a roll and get the club moving forward, and since then they've just kept going all the way to the Championship.
"It's been a remarkable journey and achievement, and they've done it the right way. The people involved at the football club are amazing, and they really treasure what the football club brings. The fans have just continued to support it, and it's amazing to see."
Having experienced the club as a player, Habergham still feels a strong connection to City and the people who make it special.
He continued: "I feel a real part of it. I think that's what Lincoln do so well as a club: they connect with people, and you really feel part of it.
"Any player who's been at the club in the last ten years would probably say the same - they've really enjoyed their time at the club, the people and the city."
Habergham's role has changed since his playing days, but his connection with City remains strong. Working alongside the experienced Helm has provided an opportunity to see the club's progress from a different perspective.
He said: "To be alongside an absolute legend in John is just amazing learning for me. He's such a great character. He's so well prepared, and his knowledge of the game is incredible.
"He's a brilliant human being and a brilliant person to learn from, not just on commentary but off it too. It's been a real privilege to work with him."
The former defender admits that returning to grounds as a commentator can bring back memories of his playing career, while giving him a new appreciation of the atmosphere created by City's supporters.
He said: "When I first came, the first game I did, I almost felt like I wanted to play again.
"You have such special memories playing at certain grounds. You go to certain venues and they mean more because you've got a personal connection. There are so many games, moments and nights that Lincoln fans can remember over the last ten years."
Looking ahead to Saturday, Habergham expects a tough test against a Burnley side with plenty of experience at the highest level, but believes City can make home advantage count.
"It's definitely going to be a tough test and a difficult game, but we know how good this Lincoln team can be at home," he said.
"They'll be looking to try to get all three points against Burnley."
