Ready for a new challenge?

The Lincoln City Foundation are looking for runners to take on the Lincoln City Half Marathon on Sunday 5 October, giving you the chance to push yourself to the limit in the name of the Imps!

Charity places are free, with a minimum fundraising target of £100 for the Foundation. As a Foundation runner you will also receive a branded top to run in on the day.

Participants who raise more than £250 will be rewarded with two free matchday tickets to a Lincoln City first team fixture, while £500 or more will secure a free tour of the LNER Stadium for two people. The top fundraiser will receive two free tickets to an Imps fixture and be presented pitchside with signed City shirt.

The Lincoln City Half Marathon – organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All – covers a 13.1 miles route starting at the Lincolnshire Showground and heading into the heart of the city, passing some of Lincoln’s iconic landmarks such as the historic Lincoln Castle and magnificent Lincoln Cathedral.

On top of that, you don’t just have to run the event to play a big part, with the Foundation looking to form a dedicated team of volunteers to assist on the day.

Alice Carter, head of healthier communities at the Foundation, said: "The Lincoln City Half Marathon will be a fantastic occasion and offers the Foundation a great opportunity to raise awareness and funds for our community wellbeing programmes”

"Whether you're a seasoned runner or looking to take on your first half marathon, we want to bring as many people together as possible for what will be an unforgettable day."
