Oisin Gallagher and Ivan Varfolomeev have been selected for Republic of Ireland U21 and Ukraine U21 for their upcoming international games.

Gallagher joins up with Ireland U21 ahead of their games against Croatia and Qatar U21 off the back of a successful loan spell with Boston United in the Enterprise National League in the second half of the 2025/26 campaign which saw him feature 29 times, scoring once as well as providing another.

Gallagher earned his first cap against the same opposition in March, a game which saw him seal all three points for his nation as his goal after 89 minutes was the decisive one in their 1-0 win.

Ireland U21 currently sit third in Group D of their European Championship qualifiers group with 11 points after seven games with only England U21 and Slovakia U21 above them.

Varfolomeev joins up with Ukraine for a nine-day training camp including games on Friday 5 June and Monday 8 June in Slovenia. The Ukrainian midfielder had a breakthrough season with the Imps as they achieved promotion from Sky Bet League One and has become a mainstay in the Ukraine U21 side.

These friendlies come in preparation for Ukraine's final U21 European Championship qualification games where they currently sit third in their group on eight points, just two points behind Turkey U21.
