Zach Jeacock is excited to get stuck into the rest of the Imps’ pre-season schedule after the players returned back from their pre-season training camp in Spain on Saturday.
The ‘keeper is one of City’s new summer signings and is looking forward to returning to England to play Oldham Athletic at Boundary Park.
Jeacock said: “Getting that feeling of walking through the tunnel and out onto the pitch is a lot different as the Pinatar Arena didn’t have that.
“The games tend to be a lot different because of that too. I’m really looking forward to it, and we’ve just got to keep preparing for the new season.”
The Imps’ 1-0 victory over Preston North End also presented Jeacock with the opportunity to get introduced to the City faithful - who really impressed the goalkeeper.
He added: “The fans were amazing, they’re all so friendly and they’re all so welcoming. As soon as I saw them around the hotel they came up and spoke to me.
“They were all there singing and shouting and getting involved in the game, it’s incredible really for them to come out to Spain and take time out of their lives to watch us play.”
