Deji Elerewe was left in dreamland after a season which saw him win the Sky Bet League Two and League One titles.

The centre-back started the season at Bromley before completing a move to the LNER Stadium in January, meaning he played significant roles with the teams who won both divisions.

He said: “It has been unbelievable to get two championships, and I’ve really enjoyed it.

“But I was that confident from when I came in that Lincoln City would win the title. The project that sporting director Jez George and the team showed me was really exciting so I always wanted to join.

“The fans here have been brilliant. I feel like I’m settled in, have got to know the city and the people - and the fans have been brilliant at every single match.”

Elerewe has had to be patient since his move to Lincolnshire. He has made 10 appearances, and started in the wins over Wycombe Wanderers and Port Vale which capped off an incredible campaign.

He added: “Waiting's been good, because I've watched people like Sonny Bradley, Tendayi Darikwa and Tom Hamer - there’s so much to learn from players like them.

“It is difficult and you have to be patient, but it’s part of the game. I just had to work hard and, when my time came, show what I can do.”
