City will continue to work with Nicholsons Chartered Accountants, with the Lincolnshire firm becoming Innovation Lab partners.
Richard Hallsworth, managing director at Nicholsons, said: "We're proud of the role we have played in the Lincolnshire community for more than a century. Our relationship with Lincoln City started many years ago when we created financial and governance systems using apps which had not been used in football. The result being an innovative blend of financial technology and accounting practice.
"Through this partnership we will continue our journey in a way that is rooted in our values – supporting businesses through innovation and facilitating commercial success."
Jason Futers, City’s chief growth and innovation officer, added: "Innovation doesn’t happen in isolation - we bring together businesses, academics, investors and technology partners to find solutions, and we’re excited to partner with Nicholsons to deliver exciting new opportunities for businesses”
"Together we aspire to pioneer a greener game, use our approach to science and data to benefit our communities, drive forward our matchday experience and explore technology solutions that have exciting potential to scale."
