Charlie Carlisle has been pleased with City’s defensive displays in the first month of the 2024/25 campaign.
The young Imps kept their second clean sheet of the season against Notts County but could not find the net despite having chances to win the match.
Carlisle said: “It was really disappointing not to win the game. We had loads of chances but the game was good. We dominated them and that’s what we like to do in games.
“There will be a time when it clicks, we just need to keep working in training like we do every week and it’ll happen.”
The young defender took time to praise captain Charlie Parks, whom he has played alongside in every game of the season so far.
He added: “We’re not conceding many goals this year, it’s great to have Charlie Parks next to me as well. He’s an excellent player to learn from as our captain with good experience at this level.”
