The first two friendlies of City’s pre-season schedule have been confirmed – with a trip to Boston United followed by a meeting with Leyton Orient as part of a training camp in Spain.
The Imps will return to training at the end of June, with a trip to the Jakemans Community Stadium on Saturday 11 July (3pm) providing the first opportunity for fans to see the players in action.
The players will have a week of warm-weather training in the South of Spain before a friendly with Orient which will take place at the Pinatar Arena, in San Pedro del Pinatar, on Friday 17 July (KO 5pm local time / 4pm BST). This is the same venue where the Imps faced Stockport County in 2023 and Preston North End in 2024.
The match will be open to spectators, and both clubs also intend to provide a streaming option through their respective club channels.
Details of this fixture have been made available as early as possible following requests from supporters and the Fan Advisory Board, but please note pre-season schedules remain subject to change.
As part of a wider training camp programme, fixture arrangements may occasionally need to be amended due to operational, logistical or sporting requirements involving a range of stakeholders, including the participating clubs and venue operators.
Supporters who choose to make travel arrangements should do so with the understanding that fixture details could change. Should any amendments become necessary, the club will communicate these openly and at the earliest possible opportunity.
Further details regarding City’s wider pre-season schedule will be announced once confirmed, with this fixture being published now to provide supporters with as much notice as possible should they wish to attend.
