BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s match commentary will return to Imps+ for the 2026/27 season.
The arrangement extends a long-standing partnership between the club and BBC Radio Lincolnshire, ensuring supporters with an audio subscription can continue to follow every league and cup fixture with the familiar voices they know and trust.
The decision follows feedback from supporters, many of whom expressed a desire to retain BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s commentary as part of the cub’s audio offering.
City's head of marketing and communications: Luke Thornhill said: “Our supporters made it clear how much they value BBC Radio Lincolnshire’s commentary, so we were keen to ensure that remained part of the Imps+ audio service.
“BBC Radio Lincolnshire has been a trusted partner of Lincoln City for many years, and this agreement means supporters listening through Imps+ can continue to enjoy the commentary team they know so well."
Supporters watching live video streams on Imps+ during eligible fixtures will continue to hear commentary from legendary broadcaster John Helm, whose coverage has become a valued part of the club’s streaming service.
Thornhill added: “At the same time, we’re pleased that John will continue to lead commentary on our live video streams. His experience and knowledge bring a different dimension to our broadcasts, giving supporters a high-quality experience whether they choose to listen or watch.”
BBC Radio Lincolnshire sports editor Michael Hortin added: “We’re really pleased to continue our long-standing relationship with Lincoln City and to know our commentary remains such an important part of the matchday experience for supporters.”
Imps+ audio subscriptions are available now, with BBC Radio Lincolnshire commentary covering every competitive fixture throughout the 2026/27 campaign. Live video subscribers will continue to receive John Helm’s commentary on all eligible streamed matches.
