Tom Bayliss is happy with way he's building up his minutes following City’s pre-season draw at Oldham Athletic.
The Latics fielded an aggressive team at Boundary Park, which provided a tough opposition for the Imps to test themselves against.
Bayliss said: “It’s about building up those minutes and being ready for what the head coach wants and expects for the season.
“I think it was a decent workout. They were a very aggressive National League side and it was a good test for us.”
Bayliss is settling into the squad following his arrival in the summer and is now ready to keep building towards the 24/25 campaign with head coach Michael Skubala.
He added: “I think we’ve come to expect what the head coach wants, which is to work hard everyday, and if we don’t do that then we won’t get in the team. I think he’s set his stall out very early and all the players are buying into it.
“I feel like I’m fitting in really well and that I’ve been here a while now. I want to be an exciting player where I create goals and assists, and I think I can do that at this level.”
