Remembering Roy Finch

The family of the late Roy Finch were presented with a City shirt signed by members of the Former Players Association (FPA) at the final match of the season against Portsmouth.

The shirt was presented by chairman of the FPA Gavin Gordon, alongside president of the FPA and former team-mate of Roy, Ron Harbertson.

Roy was a forward whilst the Imps were in the old Second Division and signed in February 1949 from West Bromwich Albion.

Finch became an Imps regular and made 291 appearances, scoring 58 goals before retiring in 1959.

Roy sadly passed away in August 2007 at the age of 85, but he will always remain in the thoughts of those at Lincoln City.
