Michael Skubala says his side must be respectful and work really hard once again when Cambridge United visit the LNER Stadium on Tuesday night.
The Imps enter the game buoyed by a 5-1 victory, which extended the unbeaten run to 11 matches, at Barnsley on Saturday.
Head coach Skubala said: “We must be mindful and careful that we don’t underestimate teams at this level. I’ve said to the lads that these potential three points are the same as the last three points.
“We did really well at Barnsley, but it was worth three points just like Tuesday night is. We respect everybody, but fear nobody, from top to bottom and will give Cambridge a huge respect. They’ve brought in an experienced manager in Garry Monk and picked up a point at the weekend against a Northampton Town side that have done well. We know it’ll be a tough game but we need to start fast, bright and be on it to get three points.
“We need to be composed, professional and focused. This set of lads have been great at managing that and moving on to the next challenge. Cambridge is all we’re thinking about at the moment.”
Almost 2,000 fans made the trip to watch the win at Oakwell. With back-to-back home games this week as Bristol Rovers also visit the LNER Stadium on Saturday, Skubala is hoping the City supporters can turn out in force and continue the strong backing they have given the team.
He added: “The fans have been brilliant but hopefully they’re seeing a type of football they can connect with, along with a group of players working hard in every moment of the game. We conceded when four goals up on Saturday, and Lukas Jensen and the backline were fuming. That shows what the team is about. We keep pushing, trying to improve and get better.
“Alignment comes from every part of the club and is a key ingredient in football. At every level, when a team’s successful, there’s good alignment. For me, it’s an important part of this club. We have that in abundance and need to keep progressing it.”
