The club have finalised the memorandum of understanding with the Red Imps Community Trust.
The memorandum of understanding is an agreement which has recently been updated using Fan Led Review and Fan’s Share process - click HERE to view it.
Since its creation in 2002 the Trust has developed a successful relationship as a critical friend of the club and has held meetings with the club’s owners, chief executives and senior officials to discuss a range of topics.
As part of the memorandum of understanding the trust has agreed to ensure it remains properly incorporated with the constituted democratic procedures and governance structure. The trust have also agreed to continue liaising with other supporter groups and stakeholders on suitable topics for discussion ahead of structured dialogue meetings, respecting other existing communication and supporter dialogue structures that exist between supporters at the club.
Also in the memorandum of understanding is the newly introduced Fan’s Share which will give the Red Imps Community Trust (RICT) ownership of a share on behalf of fans. This will allow them to decide on key matters such as a stadium move, the club’s name, badge, team colours or name of the Stacey West Stand. Proposed changes to any of these would be put to a vote, overseen by the RICT, before they could be implemented.
Liam Scully, City’s chief executive, said: “I am pleased to further strengthen our relationship with the Red Imps Community Trust by finalising the agreement of the new memorandum of understanding and the Fan's Share.”
Rob Bradley, Red Imps Community Trust chair, added: “Everyone at the trust are delighted to have the details of the memorandum of understanding confirmed as well as the Fan’s Share which will go a long way in helping represent the interest of fans of the club.
