Lincoln City Academy will be holding their U19 Shadow Scholarship trial event for 2024 on Tuesday 2 April.
On the back of recent success from the club's Shadow Scholar programme, the Imps are welcoming players looking for post 16 opportunities (current U16s, year 11+). The trials will rn from 2-4pm and will be held at Riseholme College's Showground Campus (LN1 2ZR).
City’s Shadow Scholars scheme is an opportunity for previous academy players and those seeking an opportunity to train and play a high standard of football under the umbrella of Lincoln City in conjunction with further education at Riseholme College.
Under the programme the level three students at Riseholme College can put the foundations in place for future education opportunities at university, football scholarships in the US and potential careers within all aspects of professional sport.
Alongside the 4G pitch, the Shadow programme makes use of the college’s fully equipped strength and conditioning suite, along with dedicated coaches to help the players' learn and develop both on and off the field.
There are also pathways and progression opportunities throughout the season for those players who are excelling to train and play with the Lincoln City Youth Team and potentially beyond.
