Alex Mitchell believes City can match any side in Sky Bet League One.
The Imps created the clearer opportunities against promotion-chasing Peterborough United on Saturday, while also limiting the league’s top scorers to just one or two chances.
Mitchell said: “You’re seeing a lot of confidence in the side now, and I believe there’s not any team that’s better than us on our day.
“Our players have a lot of heart, we’re a young squad with a couple of experienced lads, and the young players are driving each other. I don’t think any team on our day can do a job on us.
“It’s a great result, but I always want to win games and hopefully we can start turning these draws into wins.”
The Millwall loanee is also grateful for the relationship that he has built with the supporters since his summer arrival.
He added: “What I lack in technique I make up for in passion. I feel like that’s been present throughout my whole career, I like to be vocal and drive the lads.
“It’s such a privilege for the fans to notice that, and it’s great to hear how much they’re loving me - but it’s a long season and I need to keep being consistent.”
