Michael Skubala has stressed the importance of a winning mentality as City aim to make it seven unbeaten against Exeter City on Saturday.
Following a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Charlton in midweek, the Imps welcome an in-form Grecians side to the LNER Stadium. Skubala is hoping to replicate the mentality that has allowed City to build positive momentum in recent weeks.
Skubala said: “We need to keep pushing. You never know what's going to happen in the next few weeks. We have to go out with same mentality in every game to go and win it and we’ll have to do that against a very good Exeter side.
"We need to be looking up because why can't we go on a run? We will try to get some wins and then see where we are at the end of February as that is when things will be become clearer."
Reeco Hackett has hit the ground running after returning from a long injury lay-off in January, netting two goals in his last three outings. City haven't lost since the winger returned to the side and Skubala is pleased with the 26-year-old's form.
Skubala added: “Reeco haș come in with some great form. He’s had to get fit and we’ve had to slowly get him back into the team, but you can see what he brings on that left side. Our wing-backs play more like wingers, so that suits Reeco's game.
"He’s a threat to anyone and everyone has seen what he can bring to the team. I hope his form continues, and he keeps assisting and getting goals, which he's been brilliant at since he's come back."
