Lukas Jensen says his teammates must bring the same intensity displayed in recent fixtures at the LNER Stadium against Burton Albion on Saturday.
City are undefeated in three games, including keeping clean sheets against promotion-chasing Derby County and Peterborough United, and the Imps ‘keeper is confident this has provided strong foundations to build on.
He said: “If you look at the stats from the last two games you’ll see we had the bigger chances, and that’s against sides fighting for automatic promotion where we could have taken six points.
“We have to build on that now. Burton will be a different style of game, we’ve done our analysis and we know they will be direct, so it’s important we can cope with that. If we can bring the same intensity we have shown recently I’m sure we will have a good outcome.”
The Dane kept his tenth league clean sheet last time out, and has enjoyed being City’s No.1 since joining from Premier League side Burnley in the summer.
He added: “It’s been great to play lots of games. I want to play every match and that can be tough on the body at times, but that’s the reason why I’m here – to play plenty of games and show what I can do.
“I set my targets at the start of the year and shared them with the people around me, but to get to 10 clean sheets is good. I see it as progress because we’ve had a couple of tough months, but we’ve put in some promising performances recently and if we can build on that in February, I think we will be good."
