City’s director of football Jez George and director of operations Damian Froggatt will take part in the YMCA Lincolnshire’s annual ‘Sleep Easy’ event to help raise awareness for homelessness within the county.
The event, which was launched in 2010, has continued to go from strength to strength and is now being held for the 14th time on Friday 8 March from 7pm until 7am the following morning.
Jez and Damian will experience what it is like to sleep on the street, with many others who are taking part on the Dean’s Green at Lincoln Cathedral.
Since 2010, the event has seen more than 7,000 people sleep out to raise more than £1.5 million for local YMCA services. YMCA Lincolnshire helps support more than 450 people a year who experience homelessness.
